Option 1: review by phone
To check your EBT balance over the phone, contact the Virginia Department of Social Services. The toll-free number for DSS Customer Service in Virginia is 1-866-281-2448.
Make sure you have your EBT card number and 4-digit personal identification number (PIN) ready before you call. Your EBT card number and your PIN are required by the customer service representative to access your EBT card balance.
Option 2: check your last receipt.

The final option to verify your Virginia grocery stamp balance is online by logging into your Connect EBT account. You can use a Connect EBT account to access your Virginia EBT card balance. So if you don’t have a Connect EBT account, simply create one using the Create a user account link under the login.
Then enter your User ID and Password and click the Sign In button. You can view your current Virginia grocery credit balance and all of your past transactions.
