Why Food Brand Recertification?
From the time you are approved for grocery stamps, you will receive your eligible benefits for a period of time. This is known as the “Certification Period”. It is a must that you re-certify yourself regularly so that you can continue to receive food stamps.
The New York Department of Social Services will send you a recertification package that you must complete and return 60 days before your certification period expires. This form contains all important information that the department has about you in its system.
It is required that you review the form, update any information that has changed, fill in blank sections, and return it to your department along with the requested supporting documents before the due date stated in the cover letter.

In addition, if you have moved to a new address, you must notify the Ministry of Social Services in good time so that they can send the recertification documents to the correct address in good time.
NYC Grocery Brand Recertification Process

(1). Submit the recertification application
You must first submit a recertification application to begin the process. The recertification application form can be submitted to your local social services department by mail, online, fax, or in person.

Lastly, you can call the SNAP Infoline at (718) 557-1399 to receive an application by email and recertify it. The line is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
How to complete the recertification process online
To complete recertification of your NYC grocery stamps online, log on to the ACCESS HRA website and click the “Recertification” link on the page.
The first time you log in, you’ll need to enter your case number to find your account.
Once you have successfully enrolled, click the Benefits link above, then click SNAP to find the recertification link and complete the process.

(2). Schedule and attend the interview
After you may have submitted your recertification form, you can schedule an interview appointment. You can also conduct your recertification interview by calling (718) 762-7669.

(3). Provide requested documents
