What can I buy with the EBT Card?

You can only buy groceries that are meant to be prepared at home and for your own consumption. Anyone who is not part of the Restaurant meal program, are allowed to buy the following with their EBT card:
- Bread and cereals;
- Fruits and vegetables;
- Meat, fish and poultry; and
- Dairy products.
- Seeds and plants that produce food for the household.

You are not allowed to use your EBT card to purchase the following items.
- Beer, wine, schnapps, cigarettes or tobacco
- All non-food items such as pet food, soaps, paper products, and housewares
- Vitamins and medicines
- Food to be eaten in the store
- Warm food.

Currently, if you are elderly, disabled, and homeless in Arizona or California, you may be able to use your EBT card to buy groceries at Taco Bell.
