www.gateway.ga.gov is the official Georgia Gateway website for Georgia’s new system of eligibility for various social assistance programs, including Medicaid, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP or Food Stamps), Temporary Assistance for Families in Need (TANF), Infant Females and Children (WIC) ) and child care and parenting services.

Georgia Gateway is Georgia’s new online benefits portal that enables Georgian residents to complete various tasks related to their social security program, including renewing their benefits. However, you must sign up with Georgia Gateway to renew your benefits.

  1. Visit the Georgia Gateway website at www.gateway.ga.gov to sign in to your Georgia Gateway account and renew your benefits.

  3. Enter your Georgia Gateway credentials (user ID and password) in the login field.
  4. Click the Sign In button to be directed to Georgia Gateway’s confidentiality agreement. Please read the terms and conditions and click the “I Accept” button to go to your gateway account.
  5. Once you agree to the terms, you will be automatically redirected to your Georgia Gateway account dashboard. From there you can renew your benefits.

Provided you are receiving financial assistance in the state of Georgia, you can use the Georgia Gateway website to extend your benefits for one of the following benefit programs:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or food stamps.
  • Female Infants and Children (WIC).
  • Medicaid.
  • Child care and parent care.
  • Temporary help for families in need (TANF).

Before we proceed with the benefit renewal instructions at www.gateway.ga.gov, you will need to provide the following information, which is required to submit your benefit renewal online. They include:

  • Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Name, date of birth and SSN of each household member
  • School name, graduation date and status of a household member enrolled in higher education
  • Legal convictions regarding food stamps for each household member
  • Medical expenses for elderly or disabled members of the household
  • Resources for each household member (cash, bank accounts, retirement, etc.)
  • Tax return deductions for your household
  • Employment status or changes for a household member
  • Dependent care costs (evidence that the monthly amount is over $ 200)
  • Monthly animal shelter costs for your household
  • Child support payments (if applicable, you must have proof of the last 3 months of payments)
  • Total gross monthly income for your household

3. If you are starting a new benefit renewal, go to your performance information, find your performance information in your Georgia Gateway account, and click the benefit you want to renew.

4. Proceed to “Renew my benefits” under your benefits information by clicking on the link “Renew my benefits”.

5. Now fill out the renewal form by filling in the benefit renewal form with all the required information as indicated above.

6. When you have completed the form with all the required information, submit your renewal online for processing. However, you can check the status of your renewal in the “My Applications” section of your gateway account.

NOTE: Only the head of household can apply for benefits renewal in Georgia.
